Martingale Roulette System

What Is It?

The Martingale roulette system is one of the most common methods that the players use. The idea behind the system is that the players increase the bet after consecutive losses and then when he/she hits a win, they go back to the original sum and start out again. Most players use the Martingale roulette system on the even chance bets where this is popularly known as the double up method since one just doubles the bet after every loss until a win is achieved. Once you win, the betting amount returns to the original.

The Strategy

This system can increase the player’s chances of winning on a short-term by betting big sums to win small. The winnings rounds will be more than the losing rounds though your wins will be small and frequent, your losses will be bigger and less frequent. Since the number doubles and become high quite fast, it is not advisable to start with a bigger sum. One should start with the lowest bet allowed by the table.

Many players do not believe that getting 10 blacks or reds in a row is possible. The odds show us otherwise. The odds of black, for example, not hitting for 10 continuous spins works to at 1 in 784 chance in European Roulette. The odds for the same is at 1 in 613 chance in American Roulette. You can also choose to bet on two dozens or two columns, thereby covering half the table. Using this progression and choosing to bet on 2 columns or dozens will cover you by winning more than half your wager.

The most commonly used progression is as below:

1 – 2 – 4 – 8 – 16 – 32 – 64 – 128 – 256 – 512 – 1024 – 2048 – 4096 – 8192

Though you do not have to necessarily have to follow the above progression, you have to double your last bet. If you have more resources, you can use this following pattern of the same progression:

3 – 6 – 12 – 24 – 48 – 96 – 192 or 5 – 10 – 20 – 40 – 80 – 160 – 320

It is advisable that you start with the lowest number possible because the numbers tend to increase dramatically when you start with a bigger number. You do not need to place your wager repeatedly on the same number. Feel free to change the bets. As long as you double the bets, you will make a good profit if you hit a win.

Conclusion

There are many other progressions available for the Martingale roulette system. Since any and all areas of the roulette table can go without hitting for a long time, you will either sink or get rich overnight. One way to stop yourself from sinking on the off-chance that your bet does not work out is to set yourself a stop loss limit. For example, when you reach the stage of betting 32 or 64, you could bet it, stop, and walk away if you lose. At the first glance, this strategy looks mathematically perfect, it can go haywire in a surprisingly short while.
