Oscar’s Grind

What Is It?

Oscar’s Grind Roulette System is relatively a simple enough strategy that is quite similar to the D’Alembert system. It is an even chance betting system and hence, can be used only with Red/Black, Even/Odd and 1-18/19-36. The game moves in four stages, namely, 1, 2, 3, and 4. The logic behind this strategy is that when you win, you must increase the bet by 1 every time till you reach 4. When you lose, you do not make any changes and keep the bet as the same.

The Strategy

The aim is to make a 1 unit profit every time. Once you achieve this, you can start with betting 1 again, whether or not you bet 4 units. As soon as you make a one unit profit, you have to move to the beginning of the progression, no matter where you were present during the win. You must keep in mind that when you lose, the bets must neither be increases nor be decreased.

For example, let’s take a look at how a sample progression will go.

Bet 1 – lose

Bet 1 – win

Bet 2 – lose

Bet 2 – lose

Bet 2 – win

Bet 3 – win

Bet 4 – lose

Bet 4 – win

Bet 4 – win

Now that you are in profit at this stage, you should walk away. If you want to still play, you can start over again. The disadvantage here is that even a short losing streak can be enough to set you back. The only way to come out on top would be to go a bigger winning streak. If you are betting 4 units per spin and you hit a losing streak, it is highly unlikely you will ever be able to pull out and make a profit.

The bets are usually never too high while using this system. The players play with the idea of making a little profit every time they sit down. If you are looking to make huge profits, then this strategy is not for you. Since the mathematical logic behind this theory was to keep the bets low enough to be able to recoup after a loss, it works best with even chances bets, such as Odd/Even, Red/Black, and high/Low 18s.

Conclusion

Since a few losses are enough to dramatically increase the numbers and push you off the game, it is advisable that you have a stop limit and you stick to it, no matter what. In case, for example, you are down 15 units, its best to accept the loss and walk away as the chances of making a recovery is next to impossible.

As mentioned above, the goal of the game is to create a profit of I unit from every progression. Writing it down is also quite helpful and many follow it. This can also be used to review the strategy later on. Many find it difficult to understand the theory behind this strategy and hence, are quite impatient. It needs all your concentration while you play.
